Research Interests
Sulfur cycling in marine sediments is difficult to fully understand due to the numerous inorganic species resulting from simultaneous chemical and microbial reactions. During my postdoc I am investigating the microbial reduction of S redox intermediate species such as S(0) in marine sediments, how this contributes to sulfide production, and the resulting isotopic composition of both soluble and solid phase compounds.
